1. Sponsor and applicable rules

Giveaways are organized and administered by Original Geek Podcast (“Original Geek,” “we,” or “us”). These general rules apply to our promotional random-draw giveaways unless an individual giveaway's posted official terms expressly say otherwise. The particular giveaway announcement identifies its prize, approximate retail value, participating posts/platforms, entry period (including Eastern Time deadlines), eligibility restrictions, and any shipping limitations. If material details are missing, the giveaway should not be treated as open until they are published.

2. Eligibility

Participation is limited to entrants who meet the age, residency, and any other eligibility criteria stated in the individual giveaway announcement, and where participation is legally permitted. Entrants must have access to an eligible public giveaway post on a participating platform. Original Geek may request reasonable proof of eligibility from a selected winner before awarding a prize. Employees or people involved in administering a giveaway, and their immediate household members, are ineligible unless the individual giveaway terms explicitly state otherwise.

3. How to enter

During the announced entry period, leave a comment containing the designated giveaway keyword on an eligible Original Geek giveaway post on a participating platform, such as YouTube, Instagram, or TikTok. The keyword and qualifying posts will be identified in the giveaway announcement. Comments must be visible and retrievable for entry verification. Comments submitted after the deadline, without the required keyword, or on unrelated posts are not eligible.

Limit: one entry per person per giveaway across all participating platforms. Multiple comments or entries across different accounts or platforms do not create additional chances to win. Where practicable, we will remove duplicate entries from the drawing. If duplicate identities are discovered later, we may disqualify the extra entries or the entrant when warranted.

No purchase or payment is necessary to enter or win. Liking a post, following or subscribing to Original Geek, sharing content, or tagging friends may be encouraged, but none is a condition of entry and none improves the odds of winning. A purchase will not increase your chances.

4. Entry deadline and odds

Start and end dates and times for each giveaway will appear in its announcement, with the time zone specified (normally Eastern Time). An eligible comment must be submitted before the posted closing time. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received for that giveaway.

5. How winners are chosen

We combine verified, eligible entries from all participating platforms into one drawing pool, so that each eligible person has one equal chance to win regardless of platform. Following the entry deadline, we randomly select the announced number of winners and may select alternate winners in a predetermined order. We may use a digital randomizer or a visible spinning wheel and retain records of the result. A live drawing or recorded video, if offered, is for transparency and entertainment; it does not change the odds.

6. Notification and claiming a prize

We will contact a selected winner through the official Original Geek account on the platform associated with the winning entry, when platform messaging permits. We may also announce the winning public username. A selected winner has 72 hours after our initial notification to respond and confirm eligibility. If they do not respond in time, are ineligible, cannot be contacted, or decline the prize, we may offer the prize to the next randomly selected alternate under the same response window.

We will request a mailing name and address, and contact details if needed, only after a potential winner responds and only to verify eligibility or deliver the prize. We will never ask for a credit card, payment, or a fee to claim an Original Geek giveaway prize.

7. Prizes and delivery

The prize, quantity, approximate retail value, and delivery region for each giveaway are stated in that giveaway's announcement. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash unless explicitly provided. If a specified prize becomes unavailable, Original Geek may substitute a prize of equal or greater approximate retail value where permitted by law. Any taxes imposed on the winner are the winner's responsibility. We will arrange delivery within a reasonable period after eligibility and shipping details are confirmed, subject to the stated shipping limits and circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

8. Fair play and disqualification

Automated, fraudulent, misleading, abusive, manipulated, or otherwise ineligible entries may be excluded. Entries must comply with the relevant platform's terms and community rules, including the YouTube Community Guidelines when entered through YouTube. We may verify entries, remove duplicates, and disqualify conduct that undermines a fair drawing. If a technical failure or event outside our reasonable control compromises a giveaway, we may pause, correct, or cancel it as permitted by applicable law, and explain any material change publicly.

9. Privacy

We use public usernames, platform names, relevant entry comments, and entry timestamps to administer giveaways, check eligibility, prevent duplicate or fraudulent entries, select winners, and communicate results. We request private contact or shipping information only from potential or confirmed winners, as needed to verify eligibility and fulfill prizes. We do not require personal contact details from every entrant or use giveaway shipping information to add people to a marketing list without separate consent.

We may share the minimum necessary shipping information with delivery providers. We keep giveaway administration records only as long as reasonably necessary for administration, dispute resolution, legal compliance, and recordkeeping, then delete or de-identify them when practical. Platform operators separately process information under their own privacy policies. To ask about information associated with an entry or prize, contact Original Geek through the official account associated with the giveaway.

10. Platform disclaimer and release

Original Geek giveaways are not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Meta, or their parent or affiliated companies, unless a specific giveaway explicitly and accurately states otherwise. By entering, entrants release these platforms from liability arising out of or related to the giveaway, to the extent permitted by law. Questions or complaints about a giveaway should be directed to Original Geek, not to the social platforms.

11. Watch out for fake accounts

Impersonators sometimes create fake giveaway-winning messages. Only trust messages from the official Original Geek account tied to the giveaway. We will never require payment, credit-card information, gift cards, or a “processing fee” to receive a prize. If a message seems suspicious, do not click unfamiliar links or send personal details; verify it by contacting us through our established official account.

12. Questions and updates

For questions, contact Original Geek using the official social account where the giveaway was posted. Any material changes to an active giveaway will be communicated on the original giveaway post or another clearly identified official channel. The posted rules and individual giveaway terms in effect at entry govern, subject to applicable law.
